So, I guess you can tell my life has been a little hectic lately. I haven't posted since last Sunday and haven't ran all week except for Saturday. I did the Go Jump in the Lake 5k at Boiling Springs Lake to get ready for the "5k Season." I did my personal best on Saturday and I was quite surprise because I hadn't run all week and it was extremely humid out.
I'm running the Dog Jog this coming weekend and my bro-in-law is supposed to join me....since he left me hanging this past Saturday (just kidding - I probably didn't give him enough warning).
I did go to the gym with Scott today and walked on the treadmill at at incline. I'm going to start trying to incorporate some type of hill training. I noticed that my legs were sore today and I guess it's because I pushed myself a lot harder this time in the 5k and usually I'm too afraid to do that because I'm afraid of tiring out. I've just need to focus more on strengthening up my legs because that is what tires out on me the most. I'm going to keep doing distance running as well because I'm about 80% committed to doing the Battleship 1/2 marathon in November. I know it will be tough covering those bridges and all. But, I'm willing to try and say I done it!
Guess I'll start September off with a long run and get that over with for the week....guess I'll do another 13 miler or so, that way during the week I can focus on like 5 miles or something like that.
