Got up this morning and did the Azalea 5k again this year. This was also the race that the girls from school ran in....they did so well. They were very excited to see all the people. Including all the girls and other runners, there were about 550 entries. It was a blast.
But, for some reason that course kicks my butt. I'm going to blame it on the rather long inclines and the 15-25 mph winds that I had to run against today....boy did it suck and those are my excuses on why I didn't do as well today. I placed 5th in my age group, was 7th last year...but I really should have been like 3rd based on times that I normally run. Oh well, at least my time was better than last year and that is my goal this year - to complete all races that I ran last year at a better pace.
Well, planning on a quiet evening tonight...grilling out and watching movies! Hopefully tomorrow will be pretty so we can go to the beach or on the boat.
