Well, as you can tell I took Sunday off. Enjoyed my Mother's Day doing much of nothing!
Today, was a busy day. I had a math meeting from 4-5, then had to go to the grocery store, make dinner...and finally run. It was nearly 9 pm before I got on the treadmill. But in any event - I did it! I managed to get 5 miles complete in about 53 minutes. I walked a little in the beginning to warm up my heel..it's been bothering me a little, so I'm trying to take precautions to stay ahead of the game...hoping it doesn't get worse! What a terrible set back that would be :(
After running, in which it doesn't hurt when I run, I iced it a little hoping it won't get irritated.
I've only ran 26.01 miles so far this month. I'm really behind on my pace to reach my goal for this month. I think the running of 4, 5k's in a week messed me up. It took away from me doing longer runs during the week, because - call me crazy - but I don't like to run the day before a race. I'm sure it wouldn't make a difference whatsoever, but it's something I've always done. Maybe I should try something different just to see if it would make a difference.
