Marathon Training: Day 9 - 52 days to go

Had to make sure I left work right around 3 today because I knew we had to run 8 miles and I knew it would get dark early...so got home, quickly changed and Scott and I headed to Greenfield Lake.

Our goal was to run the 8 miles somewhere between a 9 min - 10 min pace, and it appears we did just that! We stopped at a little over mile 6 to get some water from the car, and at that point we were at a 9:36 min mile pace...not too shabby considering I busted my butt yesterday running the 6.

After getting water we started back up and managed to finish the remaining couple miles. So, with the approximate 3 minute stop, we ended with a 9:45 pace.

Mile Paces
1 - 9:45
2 - 9:31
3 - 9:40
4 - 9:43
5 - 9:33
6 - 9:24
7 - 11:48 (car stop for water)
8 - 8:38....yes...not a typo! Running through the park at night with all the drunks and bums will make you do things you never image ....even after already running 7 miles!!!

Tomorrow will be a 5 miler, but on the treadmill. Going to give the legs a break from all the pavement pounding until Sunday.
